Anyone is St.Louis looking to buy a cat or two?

I am a mommy of two sweet kitties, but my 5 month old human daughter is horribly allergic. So we have to get rid of my sweeties. One is almost 6 yrs old: A spayed female who is declawed and super relaxed she is grey with black/brown stripes (domestic short hair) her name is Lilly. The other is almost a year and a half old: A spayed female who is a hyper bundle of fun not yet declawed she is tan and white with black/brown stripes (domestic medium hair) her name is Daisy.

Both are good with other cats, dogs, children (even small baies), men and women.

I am asking for $30 for Lilly because I found her as a stray, but had to pay for her spay and declaw as well as shots. And I am asking $40 for Daisy because I payed $112 for her at the humane society and I also had to pay for deworming for her 2 weeks after we adopted her.

Only serious buyers please. These are like my children and I want to make absolutely sure that tey are going to loving caring homes.

Try making flyers, with their pictures on them and hang them in vets offices. Chances are, the people that respond are going to be pet owners themselves, and if they are at the vet, they probably take care of their animals. You may get someone who doesnt want a kitten, and prefers an adult cat. You might get someone who had to put their own animal down, and is looking for a new friend.

Then you are going about it the wrong way.

Do NOT advertise like this. You could end up with people who sell them to labs for experimentation or to dog fighting rings for bait to train fighting dogs. Such end results are horrifying beyond words so I won't go into that here.

So did a lady in Pittsburgh want her cat of five years to go to a loving home. After doing an interview with a person who responded to her ad, she placed the cat. About two weeks later she found the person had taken the cat to his basement and tormented it with a broomstick and then turned a dog on the cat. He was charged and found guilty of animal abuse when the video tape he made and shared with others was reported to the police. Now if you think you are absolutely sure you can do what most humane societies are never a hundred percent sure of, finding a good forever home for your precious so called children, go right ahead. Sorry, I work in a shelter and the number one reason people bring in their cats is because of allergies. I find it hard to believe so many people are allergic to cats. Someone gets the niffles and their doctor targets the family pets or it's just a good reason to get rid of the animal when in fact there are other reasons, like just not wanting them anymore. Then we are the bad people at the shelter who try desperately to find homes for thousand of animals each year when there aren't enough homes anywhere that would take them. So sadly we are the ones that have to euthanize these once so loved creatures that were once considered someone's children. End of story.
