8th GRADE FORMAL...?

I have an 8th grade formal coming up in May of '08. my mom wants me to wear my cousin's hand-me-down dress from last year, but i always have to wear her hand-me-downs, and normally, it doesn't bother me, but I just don't wanna wear her old dress to MY 8th grade formal. Not that her dress isn't pretty, and it costs over twice as much as i can spend on mine, i just don't want to wear it.

I have up to $50 dollars to spend, and that is dress, and shoes. I am looking for your dress ideas, or places to look in TN. I can look in Mt. Juliet, and some other smaller towns in Middle Tennessee. Thank you, and links would be great!

-knee length

-any color except black, grey, white, or brown

-not too formal

-size 1

Also, hair and shoe ideas would be great. I have shoulder length dark brown hair with layers and no bangs.

Wow I have my 8th grade formal coming to in May. What I'm going to do is got JCPenny and Kohls to look for my dress. But, I would wait till April to start looking. Dillards also might have some stuff.

you can make your own dress. its not that hard- and plus its alot cheaper and you can customize it

Go the Le Chateau for a dress thats aroun 20$, they're very nice for grad, walmart for 10$ strappy high heels, and that leaves you with 20$ so spend around 12$ at a hair salon to get it curled/styled and use the rest for accesorie!1

im graduating for grade 8 in the summertime also!! i would advise you to save up more money for more stuff for grad since theres still a while to go!!

well a few years ago i was in 8th grade and i had an 8th grade formal. I wore a stylish mini dress with cute laced heels, a hello kitty necklace that i still adore, and a few bangles. You should keep it simple. And if money is an issue, forever21 is the place to shop without worrying if you have enough money. with 50 dollars youll have just enough for a cute llittle dress, nice heels, and maybe some accesories to go along...you never know how far that will go.
