SOS Make-up help!?

Usually neither my friend or I make a big deal about make-up,but as we've been invited to a wedding and there will be photo's we figure we should make an effort.

Of course we've done the whole girly thing by raiding and hoarding various kinds of make-up,trying them out.But we need professional help,so we turn to you guys (and gals xD)

What colours in general would you advise for us? (especially for the lips and eyes)

My friend has hair that's dark as dark, real black (no hint of brown)

Her skin tone is is very fair (almost porcelain but has a warm peachy undertone)

Her eyes are grey-green

My hair is dark blonde (sandy coloured)

My skin tone is also very fair (but has a cool undertone)

My eyes are light brown

So over to the Yahoo Guru's,what colours should each of us play on for this wedding? (clothes too)

Friend should think about some shade of red or a warm pink or coral, for both clothing and lipstick, keep the eyes neutral (beige/pink shadow, gray/black liner and black mascara), neutral blush. You should perhaps try something in blue/purple or turquoise. I'd say the same for makeup - keep it light and neutral, maybe use a plum colored liner and a black/brown mascara since your coloring doesn't sound like it's quite as much of a dramatic contrast. I would go with a pretty berry or plum shade for lipstick.

Shop with no makeup. If a color looks good on you in horrible store lights without anything, it will look AWESOME with makeup on. Also, go shopping together and maybe bring a third person for another opinion.

Have fun...I'm sure you'll both look beautiful. :)

For both of you:

Start with concealer for any blemishes or uneven spots. I'd also use a matte medium to heavy coverage powder like MAC. Especially if you are going to be in photos.

For your friend I'd use plum liner and violet or lilac shadow. And a light peachy lip gloss. And if she likes blush, something in the coral family.

For you I'd try earthy tones. Go for the bronzed goddess look. Maybe some light bronzer, shadow in the golden tones, chocolate eyeliner and a shimmery, sandy color gloss.

And for both of you, don't forget to curl those lashes and apply a nice coat of mascara. Brownish/black for you and jet black for your friend.

Ok. I love doing this. For your friend this is what I recommend. For her eyes she should use black eyeliner, that will make her green eyes look really bright and they will pop. Black mascara, eyelash curler. First apply foundation, on top of that, add a warm golden mineral powder. From bare essentials or ID. Pinkish blush, not too pink.....looks fake. For the eyeshadow you might want to look at your dress and then match it with that. Most likely greenish to make her eyes pop. Then a pink/nude lipstick or a pink lipgloss would be pretty. For you brown eyeliner (I use it too) and black mascara, a brown shimmery eyeshadow and a pinkish blush for a warmer tone. Then for foundation i recommend cover girl, best coverage definately, then use a mineral sheer cover on your whole face to make it look warm and pretty. A pinkish lipstick or lipgloss would look good on you too. Or a light red lipgloss would look really pretty too. Have fun at the wedding!

Good Luck : )
