is there anything i can do/take to stimulate the colour making chemicals? would changing my diet help at all?

thanks!!

Premature greying...!?

Straightening has nothing to do with your hair going gray. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to stimulate color back into gray hair, but you can start dying it if it makes you really uncomfortable.

Premature greying...!?

For your hair thinning, you may want to check with a doctor and/or start taking some kind of multi-vitamin. Vitamin deficiencies can cause hair loss. Report It

Premature greying...!?

I'm afraid my friend, there is nothing you can do besides dye your hair. The reason why your hair is turning gray is because the cells that create the color of your hair have died and are no longer producing that color, in which it will result of a white color.

Premature greying...!?

I dunno. Talk to a doctor! My 6 year old brother has like one or two. I have a classmate who's 14 and she has quite a few.

Premature greying...!?

the only thing you can do to make color come back into your hair is buy some hair dye and put it in. diet won't fix it. exercise won't fix it. rubbing strange herbal compounds onto your scalp won't fix it. the pigmant cells that give your hair color have died and can't be brought back.

Premature greying...!?

i'm real sorry try dying it cause idk what to do

Premature greying...!?

Graying? Oh, WAH! Mine's thinning. If it were just graying, I wouldn't be sitting here spending my time out of other people's view.

Alright, Marly, honestly. The "I don't know" answer? What the Hell. Come on, now.

Premature greying...!?

i've seen gray hairs in kids as young as kindergarten age. your diet / flat ironing doesn't have anything to do with the pigment in your hair or graying at an early age. it's a hereditary thing.. so i would take a look at your mom or dads side of the family.. and ask when they started to find grays. also, just because you found a few.. doesn't mean you're going to turn fully gray.. it can stop, and start back up when you're older. it's different with everyone. there's not too much you can do.. well, besides coloring it of course.. hair color will be your best friend!

i hope this helps, good luck.

ps. and stop plucking them out.. the old wives tale is that for every one you pick out, 10 grow back! ;)

Premature greying...!?

my hair has been going grey since i was 16 and my sisters hair since she was 13 the only thing you can do is colour it

Premature greying...!?

Sorry to hear that!! =(

Don't dye your hair, it'll just damage it even more. You can cut your hair shorter. Try deep conditioning it with a hair mask or go to the docs and ask what might be the best treatment for it.

You're not alone, when I was in sixth grade a guy in my class had half of his hair grey!

Premature greying...!?

You need to stop using the heat. Deep condition the hair and have a professional cut off the dead parts and give you a managable style. Keep the color off of your hair until it gets healthy again.

Premature greying...!?

Well,

Vitamin B12, or Cobalamin, deficiency can be the cause of this. but B12 is commonly found in many foods. Most people with this anemia are strict Vegans.

But this can also be genetics. It may help to ask your parents at what age did they start "graying".

Or if you smoke, that has been proven to induce premature graying.

My mother always complained about her gray hairs and she always said "pull one out 2 grows back" but she is Chinese and Chinese people can be quite superstitious.

The bad news is, there isn't much you can do about it besides dying you hair... but if you decide to go that route, make sure you find a dye thats the least harmful to your hair.
