?!?!?!Gothic Make up tips?!?!?!?

My friends and I are having a costumes contest, and some people have asked me to do their makeup and costumes...because I can ake things look real. BUT!

I would like some tips on how to make one girl look like a dead brides maid,

and how to make another look like a zombie cheerleader.

for the dead brides maid obviosly grey and black makeup. hair should probably be dyed grey yes?

with black eyeliner and grey lipstick??

with a tattered ratty looking brides maids dress?

for the zombie cheerleader, a shreaded cheerleader uniform,

bright red lipstick, grey facial makeup, black eyeliner and eyeshadow, with hair dyed black and grey?

please provide me with some tips...cause emo girls can only do so much to make people look dead...but dead and pretty can only go so far.

also please don't suggest the use of permanent makeups or markers.

thanks...also please don't comment on my lifestyle

I watch way too many re-runs of a haunting to know this, but I know how to do dead makeup, so I'll try. You need to make them as pale as possible without being white. Pale. Not white. Always remember that. Then you need to exagerate the dark circles under their eyes, down to the top of the cheekbones. Blend, and make it look like they haven't slept in a month. Don't go way dark or anything! Use a pearl on their lips, make them very pale as well. Keep other makeup to a minimum. I wouldn't recommend anything but smudged grey liner and grey mascara. Make the dress tattered yes. That was for the bridesmaid. For the cheerleader, go WHITE facial makeup, so it makes her pale. Red lipstick would look excelent. Once again, black under the eye, maybe get some purple liquid liner and draw swirls from her eyes down her cheeks. Think Panic! at the Disco. Once again, grey eyeshadow or keep it pale, the hair would be cool, make sure to pull it up like a cheerleader. Can I make a nice comment? Emo people can be the most inteligent because they are in touch with themselves.

The october 2006 issue of Seventeen has a great article on how to do the corpse bride makeup look. I know it's a while back, but if you could get your hands on it, it would seriously do you some good.

You don't need to dye their hair. Unless the person has been dead a very long time, hair color change isn't likely. I WOULD make it lank and rather dirty looking, as I'm fairly certain the hair won't look healthy after death. For both, give the skin a grayish-green tinge, and lots of black around the eyes to make them appear sunken. Don't do anything bright, because lack of blood means lack of color. Try to make the facial features all a little more gaunt, too. Sunken cheeks, pinched lips, etc. Also, with both costumes, I think it would be really cool if you could get clothing that looked at least 10 years older.

i think grey hair would look good for the bride...it would have to be really dark grey lipstick, or else black

dude, i was an emo cheerleader last year for halloween (not much of a transition for me) and i did greyish blue eyeshadow, huge amounts of eyeliner, and dark red lipstick with a uniform i tore up. it has to be really torn tho, or else altered in a way so u can tell its a zombie cheerleader instead of a slutty one or soemthing..amazing how dumb people couldnt tell the difference lol

i bet u guys will look awesome..good luck :)

scatter a few leaves in the cheerleader's hair?

and for the bridesmaid get a bouquet of lilies or dead flowers.

you should put dark grey circles under their eyes too..

i know a really good technique for making the lips look a bit like a porcelain doll (for the bridesmaid)

you need red lipstick,a brush to apply it,and some kind of cream blush/facepaint that matches the skin tone.

you put the facepaint/blush on the lips, until they're paler and you can't see the natural colour.then you get the red lipstick and brush it on in the centre of the lips. If you do it right it looks kinda creepy but pretty at the same time.

and randomly (there's not much point with these costumes but i thought i might as well put it in) to do fake wounds:

fake blood,banana/clear lip balm, something to spread it with

slice a bit of banana and put it on the skin.spread it a bit,so it looks kinda like a lump on the skin.then lift one side of the banana slightly (with your spreading implement :p) and place a few drops of fake blood a little bit underneath.the lip balm works a bit better as it is stiffer, the banana goes quite soft.the fake blood might stain as well, just so you know.

hope i helped a bit..

:]
