Question about lipstick.?

I want a lipstick that won't feather, keeps my lips moisturized, and I want it to last for hours and hours but I don't know which brand and type is best. Also, which shade do you recommend for me? I have a between light and medium skin tone, brown hair, and blue-grey eyes.

I use and recommend Moisture Extreme Lipcolor Lipstick by Maybelline. It doesnt feather, stays on for hours, looks and feels great! It also has an SPF 15 protection and 56 different colors! I think that for your skin tone, u should get Wine on Ice for a pink.....Candied Apple for a red......or a Peach Mocha for a Natural.

no matter what brand u use it all wears out after sometime, specially if it's a bit oily. the most embaressing thing is when u drink from a cup and it leaves a mark.

what i do is to wear maybelline lipstick and use a lip coat on it lip coat dries the lipstick and it stays for really long and leaves no marks on cups! but it can make ur lips a bit dry so u can put a little bit of gloss on top of the coat.

Try putting on a lip base or concealer before applying lipstick. This seems to make it last for me. Don't use matte lipsticks they seem to dry your lips. Use a moisturizing lipstick. I like MAC brands, but if you're looking for low cost, even Avon works or Revlon. Hope this helps?

I use Covergirl "Outlast Smoothwear". It TRUELY lasts for the whole day, even drinking coffee all day and after having lunch. I like the shade #880, "plum satin", I am fair to medium compected also with auburn hair. It normally runs about $8.00 at K-mart, but to me it is worth spending a little more when you need to only aply it once aday. Be careful though! Don't mess up when putting it on, it doesn't come off easily until it FINALLY wears off. It's really a great product, and NO, I don't work for Covergirl!! :)

There is a type called, Sephora Maniac Long Wearing Lipstick, this comes in many different colors.

Tarte Supergloss Pip %26amp; Estella and Tarte 24/7 Lip Sheer are two different types of lipgloss and lipstick. They are both long lasting and they are light on the lips.

I have also tried Cover Girl Max Factor and I've had great luck with that. It comes with the color and the glossy part. The gloss will wipe off, but the lipstick stain will stay till the next day.

For the color question, just experiment with colors. I would go light lip color during the day and darker at night. And if you are using a dark lipstick take it light on the eyes. If you can try anything in between deep red and light pink. There are others that are purple and orangy too.

I think that a lip primer like the ones by smashbox or laura geller would solve all your problems. I use Clinique's All About Lips. They're simple to use.

We are very similar in coloring, I am fair with light brown hair and blue-grey eyes, I adore Almay hydracolor, I wear 585 Soft Orchid, its waterbased and I haven't seen it feature and we've had 90 deg. weather lately. This is what I would suggest, its dry (as in not oily, but very moist) its hard to explain, its one of those things you just have to try to know what I'm talking about, I also use Almay color match foundation with SPF since I have a hard time with that and Almay color match blush in berries. I really love this stuff. I use covergirl mascara in black (purple tube) and usually a pinkish/plum shadow for a monotone look. Its very natural with the color match makeup. Hope this helps.
